Registration is now being taken for boys and girls from 3 years old throgh 6th grade.  Every child gets to play at least one half.  Each team will have a minimum of one practice and one game per week.  Regular registration ends friday January 6th at 9 pm.  Late registration (with an additional $10 fee) will close Thursday, January 12th at 9 pm.

Leagues:  3 & 4 year olds

Coaches meeting will be held on Monday, January 16th at 6pm here at the Y.

Cost: $30 YMCA Members

          $51 Non-Members

Due to wintry conditions the Plainview YMCA will close at 6pm tonight 12/5 and reopen on Tuesday 12/6 at 11am.  All youth basketball games as well as all fitness classes after 5:45pm are cancelled for tonight.  Any classes and early lap swim are cancelled in the morning.

Tonight is perfect weather for a cup of hot chocolate, a warm fire, and a movie.

YMCA Inclement Weather Policy - Typically, the Y will follow the decisions of the PISD. If they open late, the YMCA will as well, to protect our members and staff from driving in hazardous conditions. If the PISD cancels school ,or we have poor weather on a non-school day, the Y will make a decision on an opening and closing time with the safety of our members and staff in  mind. All decisions, when possible, will be sent out through the Herald's text alert system and posted on our website and Facebook page. Wednesday, November 23rd - open 5:30 am to 5 pm

Thursday, November 24th Thanksgiving - CLOSED

Firday, November 25th - open 9 am to 5 pm

Friday, December 23rd 5:30 am to 5 pm

Saturday, December 24th Christmas Eve - CLOSED

Sunday, December 25th Christmas Day - CLOSED

Saturday, December 31st New Year's Eve - 8 am to 6 pm (no private parties)

Sunday, January 1st New Year's Day - CLOSED

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS:

The 5K Road Race will be approximately 3.1 miles.  The Run/Walk will be approximately 1 mile.  Both events will commence at the Y parking lot.  Families are welcome and encouraged to run/walk together!

ENTRY FEES:

$15 Pre-Registration (deadline: Monday November 14th)

$20 Registration November 15th thru Race Day

$10 Registration for All 1 mile Run/Walkers

**Pre Registration guarantees a T-Shirt** T-Shirts after November 14th as supply lasts.

RACE DAY SCHEDULE:

8 - 9 am Post-Registration and Packet Pick up

9:30 am Both Races Start

11:00 am Awards (tentative time - will start after completion of races)

Top 3 Male & Female Overall

Top Male & Female in each age group:

11 & under, 12-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

Overall Male & Female 1 Mile Run/Walk winner

ADDITIONAL INFO:

Please keep in mind that weather is unpredictable, so be prepared for cold/wet weather.  There will be no make-up date nor refund of race fee.

Water and snacks will be available for participants following the race.
